How to Use Offline Maps in Mobile App

No service? No problem? You can save fishing access locations and base maps for offline use in the DIY Fly Fly Fishing mobile app. If you are heading out fishing in an area with no cell service, save the locations and base map of interest before you go. You can do this using the Collections feature following the instructions below.

Step 1 – Tap the Collections tab

Step 2 – Tap Offline

Step 3 – Tap the Re-download button

Step 4 – Position Map and tap the Download Area Button

Step 5 – View Offline Locations List

When you are offline, a notification will appear on the screen. Locations that have been saved for offline use can be found in List View or Map View.

Step 6 – View Offline Locations Map

Tap the map icon on the bottom of the screen to view a map of locations saved for offline use.

Step 7 – View Offline Location Detail

Tapping any map markers will pull up the details for that location.

You can repeat the process anytime you head out to an area without cell service.
