Farmington River Dry Fly Heaven

This caddis emerger pattern is specific to the Farmington River, one of Connecticut’s premier trout streams, and imitates a wingless female caddis pupa. A tailwater fishery, the Farmington River is known for excellent year-round dry fly fishing, with Caddis hatches 6 to 8 months of the year. The winter caddis are small on the Farmington, down to size 24 but hey, small winter flies are better than no winter flies – right?
