[Video] Return of the Southern Appalachian Brook Trout

From Freshwater Illustrated comes this exceptional short film documenting the restoration of native Southern Appalachian brook trout in the Smoky Mountain region of Tennessee. The film shows the restoration on Sycamore Creek, a tributary of Tellico River in the Cherokee National Forest just to the south of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

It doesn’t get much more DIY than bringing a native fish back from the brink of extinction by hand, bucket and horseback!

Enjoy!
